Hi, I’m Anastasia!

I have been a hairstylist since 2009, now specialising in vibrant hair but I love all things hair! Born in Calgary Alberta, Canada and spent a lot of time growing up in a very small town in north-central Newfoundland. No I’ll never be used to the Canadian cold.. People describe me as analytical, thoughtful, sympathetic and curious. I actually won the “Curious George Award” in hair school because I ask so many questions. I can’t help it I love to learn! They may or may not have made up that award just for me. I’m always taking different classes to learn something new. You are very important to me and I’ve made it my mission to teach you about the science of your hair and why things do or do not happen. Had a bad experience elsewhere? I’ll never say they did something wrong (unless it causes damage) because I believe everyone has different techniques, and sometimes what you like doesn’t click with that technique. But I will tell you why your hair is feeling weighed down, brassy or never growing past a certain length. 

I’m also a Sexy Hair Educator. I get to travel, teach and inspire other stylist to grow all while I take regular trainings with Sexy Hair, My favorite place I’ve gone to is New Orleans and I totally fell IN LOVE with that place. That’s another conversation because when I get excited about things I could go on forever. Can’t you tell? 

I have two cute as heck kitties Cash (Right), named after one of my favorite Artist Johnny Cash, and Patches (Left), named after Trustworthy Patches in the Dark Souls video game series. I’m a BIG nerd if you couldn’t tell. I LOVE all things Marvel and collect LEGO and Funko Pops. 

I’m human just like you and have my own struggles. I battle with Anxiety daily, which is also part of me having fibromyalgia. It can be difficult but I don’t let it get in the way! I’m always growing and trying new things but I do mess up. Like that one time my cousin wanted grey hair and I turned it blue, but I’ve come a long way! I just own up to mistakes because I’ll always learn from them.

When I’m not behind the chair you will probably find me napping. I loooove a good nap! Or at my favorite steakhouse eating a med-rare steak with a blue cheese crust, salad and Creme Brûlée or bubblegum ice cream for desert 

Doing your hair excites and calms my mind You’ll be comfortable in my chair no matter what we’re doing so don’t be afraid to ask a question, I love explaining hair and want to teach you what’s best for YOU.
